Team Selection: Norwood name squad to face Bloods

NORWOOD could name up to four potential inclusions for Saturday afternoon’s Round 19 clash with West Adelaide at Richmond Oval.

After recording eight wins in succession, Jade Rawlings men will look to end the minor round season with another victory giving them the best possible chance to secure at least two rounds of finals.

Norwood could name swingman Cam Taheny for Saturday’s Round 19 clash. The former Cat hasn’t featured at League level since Round Seven and could be recalled for either a forward or defensive role on Saturday.

The Redlegs could unveil yet another debutant on Saturday, with former Blackwood product Oscar Hodge in the mix following some strong form at Reserves level.

Hodge booted a team-high three goals last Friday night against the Bays.

The Match committee could also call upon Isaac Saywell to add some more dash throughout the midfield, while Mitch Carroll has also been named as a potential inclusion.

Unfortunately, small forward Xavier Tranfa has been omitted from the squad.

In better news, tough midfielder Mitch Cotter has overcome a knee injury and will play his first game since Round 12.

Jayden Gale, who has been sidelined with kidney issues has also been named for his first game since Round Six.

The Redlegs face West Adelaide this Saturday afternoon at Hisense Stadium from 1:10 pm.
