Fixture Release

Round One revealed: Redlegs to host Port at Coopers Stadium

The opening round of the 2021 home and away season will see the Norwood Football Club take on the old enemy Port Adelaide at Coopers Stadium.

Details of the Round 1 fixture were released on Thursday night with the Redlegs set to kick off their season against the Magpies in a Thursday night blockbuster on April 1.

The last time the two teams met to kick off their seasons was Round 1 2014, which saw the Redlegs defeat the Magpies by 19-points at the Parade in front of over 6,000 spectators.

The 2021 season opener for the Redlegs, scheduled for 7.40pm on Friday, will be a key feature of the highly anticipated first round of the 2021 SANFL season.

The traditional Easter Thursday clash with Port Adelaide resonates well with the Redlegs faithful, and will no doubt draw a big crowd at Coopers Stadium.

The full home and away fixture is due to be released on February 5.
